The Universal Studios franchise plans to bring new attractions to its customers in Orlando, Florida, and Universal City, California. It will introduce a favorite while introducing something new, respectively. In August 2024, Universal Studios in Orlando will bring back its Halloween Horror Nights earlier in fall 2024. In 2026, Universal Studios in Hollywood will introduce a new attraction, the Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift outdoor rollercoaster.

Universal Studios in Orlando plans to return its Halloween Horror Nights earlier in August but only on select nights from August 30 to November 3. People worldwide visit the park to endure the horrors and the mayhem that awaits them at what has been called the premier Halloween event. In 2024, visitors to the event can tour 10 new movie-quality haunted houses inspired by original horror stories and cinematic techniques used in them. The event will feature five scare zones filled with hundreds of menacing creatures. However, these creatures roam and rule the streets during Halloween.

Halloween Horror Nights guests can enjoy a live show, eat at Halloween-inspired eateries, and shop in the park's Horror Nights Tribute Store for Halloween-themed merchandise. Visitors can also visit the park's other attractions outside Halloween Horror Nights.

Individuals can pick up single-night event tickets and Express Passes. Universal Studios also offers a special vacation pass that offers some discounts. Visitors will find hotel accommodations minutes from the Halloween Horror Nights event. In addition, guests can purchase an upgrade that gives them VIP access to the haunted houses and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour. The tour allows visitors to see how they create the effects that make the haunted houses more frightening. Universal Studios will open a limited version of the Behind the Scream: Unmasking the Horror tour featuring only three houses on August 11.

While Universal Studios fans will get to enjoy Halloween Horror Nights in August, Universal Studios in Universal City fans will have to wait until 2026 to ride the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride. The ride and cars take inspiration from the Fast & Furious film franchise; ride developers have created a state-of-the-art amusement park ride. The ride's main feature is a 360-degree vehicle rotation as they speed down a track.

Visitors will access the ride from the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. They will wait in a red-brick garage-style structure before boarding the vehicles that will travel along an aerial track that winds its way over the theme park.

The Fast & Furious film franchise is one of Universal Studios' most successful, earning $7 billion at the box offices globally. It has become the longest-running, most profitable franchise in the production company's history.

Universal Studios Hollywood Executive Vice President & General Manager Scott Strobl stated that Universal was excited to introduce its first high-speed ride. Further, as the franchise evolved, Strobl noted that the theme park ride would become a game changer, infusing a new level of excitement into the park that offers visitors an array of diversions. The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift joins other ground-breaking attractions such as Super Nintendo World, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Jurassic World Ride.
